OUR TAKE

A custom workflow around incoming messages

Sendblue offers production API access with webhooks and callbacks, plus a dedicated inbound-first agent tier. It suits a team building its own rules around a customer-initiated conversation.

Place durable rules around the API

An incoming webhook can trigger application work, but your event consumer must persist the message and prevent repeated deliveries from enrolling the same follow-up twice.

The production account’s webhook and callback access differs from the shared sandbox. Verify the actual environment before treating an integration demo as an operating automation.

Confirm who starts each sequence

If the customer sends first, an inbound-first account may fit. If a CRM tag must initiate a new thread, ask for the outbound enterprise terms and rules.

Keep pause-on-reply, business hours and operator takeover in your own application requirements unless the exact chosen platform documents and supplies them. A send endpoint alone is not a complete sequence editor.

The decision in one sentence

Evaluate Sendblue against the trigger, stop rule and recovery responsibilities described above.
